ReplyDeletepretty sure that St Etienne are Londoners through and through. Croydon/Surrey, maybe, but that's London as far as the rest of the UK is concerned, isn't it? Although the song itself fits the theme of your list quite nicely.
True, as much so as Weller ... but i think it was just the sense of wonder here. But, yes, it's pretty loose
